GIAMPIERO ACCARDO

Main focus:

Characterization of the acoustic field inside the cabin with both numerical and experimental techniques.

Project title:

Hybrid methods (numerical and experimental) for the interior sound field characterization linked to the exterior sources.

GIAMPIERO'S BACKGROUND

Giampiero was born in Rome where he studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” obtaining his Master Degree magna cum laude in March 2013. During his studies he discovered a strong passion for structural matters and fluid-structure interactions and he always tried to create a solid theoretical, computational and experimental background in order to approach and face most of the problems involving the structural field. During his master thesis work on Aeroelasticity, he extended his commands on CAE simulation methodologies (Finite Element Method) and his knowledge on experimental techniques using LMS tools.

He has begun his PhD adventure since January 2014 and his research will be focused on hybrid (experimental-numerical) methods for the interior sound field characterization linked to the exterior sources.
